Vietnam Visa For UK Citizens

A Bristish - UK passport holders are required to apply for a visa to enter Vietnam. Tourist visa are good for 30 days and may be extended after your arrival in Vietnam. You can do it your self at Vietnam embassy in London or apply for a visa on arrival.

Visa on arrival is recognized as a legitimate way to obtain your Vietnam visa by the British Embassy in Hanoi. A number of travel agencies are handling the process, which is quite simple:
-    Apply online for the Vietnam visa
-    Collect the approval letter by email and prepare 2 passport sized photos
-    Arrive at a Vietnam Airport and collect the visa stamp

Required documents:
You are required to submit your passport and 2 passport sized photos when you arrive at a Vietnam Airport. No documents are required at the time of applying online.

  3. After that you need to bring these following documents to our office:
    Your original passport 
    Temporary residence paper approved by the hotel where you live at or approved by local authorities where you live in or wards Police Unit 
    If you are Vietnamese overseas or your current visa is separate visa, you need to prepare 2 passport sized-photos 4-6 cm with a straight forward face.
    Note: if you are in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi City, we can come in person to pick up your passport at your address on your request.
  4. Wait some days to get your passport back together with your new stamped visa.

How many kinds of Vietnam visa are there?



There are two ways of classification.
First, in terms of traveling purpose, there are four kinds of Vietnam entry visa: Tourist Visa, Business Visa, Visa extension and Re-entry Visa.
The other way is to classify upon the method to get the visa, according to which, there are two kinds: Visa on Arrival and normal Entry Visa.


What is the difference between single entry visa and multiple entry visa?

- For single entry visa: You can enter and exit Vietnam 1 time.
- For multiple entry visa: You can enter and exit Vietnam more than 1 time.
For example: You can apply for this type of visa in case you would like to enter Cambodia, Laos or any other country from Vietnam and then re-enter without having to apply for another single visa.

Who are exempted Vietnam Visa?



- Thailand passport holders (valid for 30 days)
 - Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, Lao, Philippines and Brunei passport holders (valid for 21 days)
 - Korea, Japan, Russian & Scandinavians (Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland passport holders) (valid for 15 days)
 - French diplomatic or official passport holders (90 days or several visits within 6 months)
 - Chile diplomatic or official passport holders (less than 60 days)
 - APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC) Holders from Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) member economies (less than 60 days)
 - Vietnam Visa exemption for visiting Phu Quoc Island: applied for foreigners and Vietnamese Nationals who hold foreign passport (15 days)
 - Vietnamese oversea holding visa exemption certificate (less than 90 days).
